Sweetie, darling! Fabulous news! Jennifer Saunders took a break from tickling funny bones to receive an honorary degree from Britain’s Exeter University.
Saunders also got a chance to chat it up with actor (and hubby) Adrian Edmondson, with whom she used to perform stand-up.
In fact, Edmondson’s college nick name, “Eddie Monsoon”, inspired Saunders’ Absolutely Fabulous character, “Edina Monsoon”.

damnit. just a minute too late to mention that, yes, they’re married, and have been since 1985. so i imagine catching up didn’t take much time.
As others have said (some more politely than others) they’re married, but they rarely get reported as being seen together.
Edmonson turned his Eddie Monsoon nickname into a hilarious, albeit dark sketch for the show “The Comic Strip Presents” about a drug and alcohol addicted entertainer. Saunders appeared with him on the show (as did Dawn French, Rik Mayall and others) and took the name for Edina in Ab Fab.
honestly how many people actually talk to their spouses after 20+yrs of marriage. Everyone’s busy with their this’s and thats and then you go to some function or other and you get catch up. it’s nice.
Marriage points aside, that is a really friggin’ loud gown.
