They weren’t just banning gays from adopting, the Arkansas law bans *all unmarried people* from adopting. It’s insanely extreme.

But the question remains: can gay couples marry in Arkansas? If not, I find this to be a tremendous slap in the face!

Sad for gay couples yes, 100x worse for children who could do with the stability and love they can offer :(

Is anyone planning on picketing in Arkansas? There are over 1/2 million kids in foster care waiting to be adopted. There are more than 65,000 GLBT folks who have adopted, over 14,000 who are fostering, and another 2 million who’ve expressed an interest in adopting in the future. These douche-bags have just cut off a bunch of needy kids from having a real family. Oh, yeah, that’s right! GLBT families aren’t considered real families.

“Pastors, such as at Little Rock’s St. Mark’s Baptist, urged people in the audience to sign up for the Arkansas Adoption and Foster Care Act

We’ve got plenty of heat on the Mormons, but what about other bigoted religious nuts?
