After Portia DeGeneres turned down Dancing With The Stars‘ offer to become the show’s first same-sex competing couple, producers decided there just wasn’t another homosexual out there that Middle America could bear to watch. After all, Portia is the wife of Ellen DeGeneres, a woman who has tricked millions of homophobic viewers into tuning in to see quirky dance moves and preaching about why gays should be able to marry. And Ellen was on board! So without Portia, the American version of Dancing won’t follow in its Israeli cousin’s footsteps. Which is too bad, but I’m sort of fine with not having to deal with any more Dancing “controversies.”

PLEASE don’t think of this as a sympathy post just coz no-other bugger bothered. And yes that was just rude of them. But do you see, its precisely because I know what kind of things would upset you, Portia and Ellen, you being such rarified beautiful souls, too good for this brutish world; its because of these sensitive insights and emotional intelligence that I’m BURDENED with that I just want to let you know, that, when you two finally get to adopting — and you must, because, it’s THE THING–I’m available, and looking for two new mummies. Now, I am **technically**, out of the diappers stage, but not necessarily–its all negotiable. I have here at hand a rough draft of the contract…. Oh, and about my allowance…
