Apologetic Mike

Republican Mike Huckabee has now twice apologized for his misplaced Barack Obama assassination joke. The former presidential contender’s second lament came on yesterday’s Meet The Press: “It was a dumb, off-the-cuff remark… And, you know, it wasn’t the first dumb thing I’ve ever said and — let me go ahead and announce on this program — it won’t be the last dumb thing I’ve ever said. … This wasn’t funny, I’ll be the first to tell you that. Shouldn’t have said it. I apologize. I don’t know what else I can do.” [LA Times]
