Video of Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright speaking at the Greenville-Spartanburg Republican Women’s meeting shows the county’s top law enforcement officer threatening bodily harm to any transgender women who uses the ladies’ restroom in his presence. The video was posted by a conservative podcaster and shows the sheriff discussing South Carolina‘s proposed ban on public accommodations nondiscrimination protections for transgender people.
Wright expressed his unequivocal support for the measure while attendees laughed along with his remarks disparaging transgender people. The sheriff, who carried his firearm but wasn’t dressed in his official uniform, acknowledged the presence of the media but continued on with his threat to violently attack an unarmed civilian.
“I’ll be honest with you, I don’t even know why there’s an issue about which bathroom to use,” he said. “Because if you are a guy and you go into bathroom with my wife, I’m gonna make the news — I know there’s three cameras rolling — I’m gonna whip your tail if you go in there with my wife while she’s trying to use the bathroom, or my granddaughter. That is bologna,” Wright says.
“So, I don’t really understand why there’s an issue in any legislation, or state senators or whatever gotta make that stuff. I mean, the men’s room is for the men. The girl’s room is for the girls. We were taught the symbol when we were little and we couldn’t read. Wearing a dress is supposed to be a chick. Supposed to anyway. Unless you’re raising money for something. Listen, I’ve dressed up like a girl to raise money for under-privileged kids. But I was the only one who didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t shave. I tried to look like a man dressed up like a chick.”
How about we take this to the next level?

South Carolina Republican state senator Lee Bright has introduced legislation mirroring North Carolina‘s controversial law that would require transgender people to use the restroom associated with their birth gender. Republican Governor Nikki Haley has said she opposes the law as unnecessary.

LOL. Yeah you were the ONLY ONE who didn’t take it seriously!

So he attacks cisgender women who go in with his wife since they are many female felons in the USA? Or is he just a nutter when it comes to transgender Americans?
He BGB
Did he really say thats bologna? Or probably that’s balonie? The fearful and ignorant conservatives are really falling for this fear mongering. These cave men have no idea what they’re talking about. He HAD to cover that he once wore a dress but like Bill Clinton not inhaling, he didn’t like it, it was for the “kids”.

So if Candyce Cane went in the women’s bathroom he would beat her up?
Brian
What do the women think about this? Too often, we hear only the man’s opinion about transgenders. You’d be surprised as to how many women oppose transgenders.

These stupid twits wouldn’t even know a trans person if they walked up and started a conversation with them—

I went on a dive trip last year with a former Navy Seal who is now a trans-woman. I would love to see this little bitch try to “whip” her, because she would wipe the floor with him.

The argument that says trans folk should be able to use toilets of their choice is deeply flawed. It seeks to change the rules of a civil society.
If you wish to change the rules of a civil society, your argument needs to be flawless. So far, I haven’t heard one. No transgender or their supporter has convinced me of a need to change existing rules.

In civil society you don’t inspect people’s genitalia when they want to use the loo. Are you hoping for a genitalia inspector job at the door of some popular restroom? Those seeking to restrict access are the ones seeking to look at people’s genitalia, which means they want to do what they are accusing trans folk of doing without any proof trans folk are doing anything other than going to the restroom.

Right Wing Dream = “Mommy, why does the creepy man with the badge say he has to put his hands in my underwear and feel before I can go into the bathroom??”
