Cincinnati Christian University Official Arrested for Soliciting Gay Sex

The Chief Financial Officer of a prominent Christian university has been arrested for soliciting sex. Robert Williams, 52 was brought to jail Monday morning after he got "into a man's car and touched his genitals" outside Mount Airy Forest Park in Cincinnati; The man was an undercover cop. Williams plead "not guilty" to the charge and Cincinnati Christian University President David Faust issued a statement that said, in part:

“We are shocked and dismayed by the news. This is a personal tragedy for him and for his family, and we lift them up in our prayers. Mr. Williams is being placed on administrative leave from his job at CCU while we learn and assess the facts of the case.”

If found guilty, Williams could face up to two years in prison.

Um, why is this even illegal?!?!?

Obviously it's entrapment but wtf?

He's charged with "sexual imposition"- even more wtf?!?!?

There is nothing to celebrate in the entrapment of a person at a cruise spot.

Yes it is delicious and amusing, that such an arsehole hypocrite homophobe should get busted in this manner.

But more important, as Ed asks, why is this even illegal??? Two consenting adults should be able to pick each other up if they want.

And what the fuck are these plain clothes filth doing luring men into illegal activities?

This sort of shit used to happen here in the UK, with the prettiest and youngest policemen hanging around public toilets and busting anyone who said Hi to them.

it is outrageous.

Maybe gays should support and campaign for this man which would show 1) that gays won't put up with this persecutory shit and 2) that atheist gays are more compassionate than the vile sky pixie worshippers

The children, the children we must save the children! While police all over the US spend tax dollars on entrapment of adults seeking out other adults for consensual sex, America’s children are abused, exploited, given third rate education and many go to bed hungry.

Ugh…I'm all for outing hypocritical behavior but 2 year possible prison sentence for touching dick? That's pure entrapment. Same old Cincinnati.

When I went to school near there in the late 80's a gay couple was cited for indecency for holding hands in public. It was also the 'Mapplethorpe Exhibit Panic' years.

He ain't going to prison, what drama queens!
His job is F*CKED and his marriage may be F*CKED, and I'd watch him for suicide prevention for a month or two. The stupid thing is the double standard of being with a hustler rather than a whore. If he'd hit on a woman, they'd snicker and high five him at work, just like Diaper David Vitter vs. Larry Craig.

got hypocricy?

Please do not report stories like this. I become very nervous. I am running out of places to go. First, I thought it was safe going to public toilets. When a few senators and others were caught there, I changed to making arrangements from and inside my car. Think about my reputation among members of the religious right. People cannot find out I am gay. Leave a few hiding places for me.

Look, the guy worked at a Christian university but do you know that he engaged in homophobic acts or are you all just inferring this because of his place of employment?

@ggreen: EXACTLY.

I'm more concerned about pedophilia than what two guys (or gals) are doing on their own time, over the age of consent, in private.

Well, I'm going to be a voice of dissent here. I live in Cincinnati, and frankly, these assholes who cruise in Mt Airy Forest RUIN the use of the park. When I first moved to the city, I was excited to have an urban hiking location of the park's size and terrain. But it took 3 visits for me to figure out the park was neither safe nor fun. The men of all shapes, sizes and ages who cruise there is…just sad. It's not just closet cases either. It's poor kids looking for tricks for $$, exhibitionists, voyeurs, etc. My last attempt to actually use the park as a hiking location ended with some 40something guy with a wedding band using his van to BLOCK MY CAR IN. I had to threaten him with violence and call the police to report him.

So I have no sympathy or Mr Williams or any of the jerks doing that in our city parks. Just use the internet or go to a gay bar/club already.

I love here in Cincinnati and though I personally do not support homosexual activity by any means I know his family and I know they had no idea of his "outside" activites I feel much sympathy for his wife and children and who have been put in this humilating spot by the media and websites like this.

@Robin:

Up yours, shithead.

So you love in Cincinnati. I'm so happy you're happy!

Most other folks simply live there.

Dumb fuck. Can't even fucking spell.

Oh, and BTW, we don't need your support of homosexual activity. We can manage quite well on our own, thank you!
