Chris Hemsworth heads up director Ron Howard’s big budget Moby Dick origin tale In The Heart Of The Sea, while a gay wannabe internet star falls for a serial killer in dark comedy You’re Killing Me. Finally, a bullied gay Thai teen finds both first love and ghosts in sexy yet spooky coming out drama The Blue Hour.

This sexy and spooky feature debut from Thai director Anucha Boonyawatana is billed as a “supernatural love story.” In it, a gay teen, Tam, find refuge from his school’s bullies in an abandoned pool complex where he meets internet hookup Phum. However, this pool may be haunted, and as their relationship progresses so do signs that they aren’t exactly alone. It’s not your typical coming out film.

In this darkly comic, gay “mumblegore” romance, director Jim Hansen and co-writer/star Jeffery Self track the relationship between George, who fancies himself an internet sensation, and Joe, a dry and subdued fellow who appears to be a serial killer. While George’s friends sense something is a bit wrong with this new romantic interest, the guy is blinded by infatuation. Co-starring a host of hysterical gay faves including Drew Droege (of “Chloe Sevigny” viral video fame, which he concocted with Self), Jack Plotnick, Sam Pancake, and Mindy Cohn, this is a bloody fun date flick! Extras include bloopers and improvisation with Drew and Edie.

Director Ron Howard tells the story of how Herman Melville – here played by out thespian Ben Whishaw – was inspired to write Moby Dick after learning of the story of how a 19th Century ship captain, George Pollard (Chris Hemsworth), and crew had a close and disastrous encounter with a massive whale. Some truly grand set pieces impress, while future Spider-Man Tom Holland and Cillian Murphy play supporting roles. Extras include a generous selection of making-of featurettes and deleted/extended scenes.
