The media watchdogs over at GLAAD are tickled pink about ABC soap Brothers & Sisters‘ forthcoming gay wedding: “We applaud ABC for highlighting Kevin and Scotty’s declaration of commitment to each other in the presence of their family and friends. Kevin and Scotty’s ceremony reflects the ongoing commitment of Brothers & Sisters and ABC to making visible the multi-dimensional lives of gay characters.” [Contact Music]
This is where change is being made, though the media, educating the average fat and dumb church woman who gets her kicks through soaps. An implicit slapping of traditional religion in it’s face, and rightly so.
