Brent Randall, a Republican candidate for Goshen, Indiana’s District 5 City Council seat has confirmed that a profile page featuring his photos and info on gay dating site Adam4Adam is indeed his own.
The page contains a lot of general information — much of which is explicit — and Randall has actively used the site to connect with gay men.
Randall was married for 22 years before divorcing his wife in 2009.
“My life has changed a lot over the last six years since my divorce,” says Randall, who still regularly checks the profile. “I do talk to people. I’ve never met anybody from that profile. I do enjoy meeting new people of all different walks of life. I don’t even know if I consider myself bisexual or not. I just experimented a little since I was single again.”

Nevertheless, the 53-year-old Randall — who’s running against Adam Scharf, a Democrat, for Goshen’s District 5 seat currently held by Everett Thomas — went on record just last week saying that he was against amending the city’s civil rights ordinance to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” saying members of the LGBT community are currently protected under the law and no amendment is needed on the local level.
Despite his A4A profile, he still stands by his position:
“I don’t know if I thought this wouldn’t come up or would (when running for office). But I still believe in my heart of hearts that our gay and lesbian communities are protected currently under the law. If there are cases that need to be brought, let’s bring them. I don’t know why they feel they need special protections when there are other categories that might need protections. My little experimentation over the last six years hasn’t changed my view on that.”
He doesn’t know whether the Adam4Adam profile will wind up hurting his chances at the District 5 seat, but thinks Goshen is an open-minded community.
“In the back of my mind I knew that profile was out there,” Randall said. “I really didn’t think it would come out. It’s a bridge I really didn’t want to cross. The other side of that is I’ve been dating women too. It’s just something I’ve opened myself up for.”
Randall is the radio voice for Goshen High School football and basketball on Elkhart.com. He’s also head Goshen High School boys golf coach. And relationship development manager at Eby Ford Lincoln.

I’d like for Randall to prove that LGBTs are protected under current laws. I’m especially skeptical of gender identity protection, since it has only entered the public consciousness very recently. Even liberal New York didn’t have true protection until THIS MONTH, when Gov Cuomo announced an Executive Action. He had to do so because The Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA) failed in the 2015 legislature. As such, I highly doubt that Indiana law has taken a lead on this.

@Bryguyf69: …and in fact, the ACLU’s map shows that Indiana includes NEITHER sexual orientation NOR gender identity in job discrimination laws. In other words, Randall is wrong on both fronts. Forget the hypocrisy. The fact that he doesn’t know his state’s laws is reason enough to not vote for him. Heck, I’m going to email his opponent Adam Scharf this little tidbit.

My YouTube video about the scandal surpassed 5 million views before my account was closed for copyright violation. The video was #3 on the Most Viewed News category for many weeks. I have to give Sanchez a lot of credit because he was active in the video page, publicly debating me for days at a time. He never admitted to being gay and strongly bashed the gay community and gay porn.

Oh, Absolutely, but I think if you don’t respond to crazy and false statements they think that they were able to fool everybody and get their blatant lies through.
It was like, after the large LGBT march on Washington about 7 years ago. All of these trolls kept coming on here claiming there were only a few hundred or a few thousand and posting up pictures of a few people and saying it was the march.
People on here, instead of calling them out were saying things like “Well the number of people didn’t matter, and it still meant that they had good things to say etc…” Because they took them at their word.
Then some of us on here pointed out that the pictures were fake, that there were no gay flags in the pictures even though they were handed out for free at the march, and that the march stretched out for block after block and there were pictures proving it.
As SOON as we said that the trolls disappeared, but if nobody said anything the trolls would have been able to convince people that they were right.
So when somebody like Allister gets on here and pukes out lie after lie supporting people whose main interest in LGBT rights is to take them all away, I don’t mind calling out every single lie or phony change of topic he tries.
Most Log Cabin members with integrity quit the group years ago, the ones that are left……..well, you can see what they’re like.
