Heatherette Knows Shit

dowshoe-1.jpg
Heatherette’s Traver Raines and Richie Rich of sure do know how to give back. The former club kid duo turned designers are using their fashion brand to fight one of the world’s most horrific, sickening killers: diarrhea.

Raines and Rich are helping the Blue Planet Run Foundation provide clean drinking water to the masses. The above shoe, the foundation hopes, will raises awareness of this very serious (and, again, sloshy) problem:

In 10 years, diarrhea has killed more children than all the people lost to armed conflict since WWII… This statue, part of the “Sneakers and the City” celebrity art exhibit, was designed by Heatherette in support of the Blue Planet Run Foundation.

Too bad the shoe isn’t real – we bet the diarrhea afflicted could use a little speed.

Okay, clean drinking water is no laughing matter, seriously.

But who’s going to make the first “Blue Planet Runs” joke?

Well, all funny poo jokes aside, it’s certainly nice to see someone out of that mess of self-absorbed brats (who founded the club kid scene) doing something useful.
