Helen Mirren Comes Out For Gay Marriage

The Queen star Helen Mirren gave the queens some love in a recent US interview. The actress told the tab-rag that she’s “absolutely” behind gay marriage.

“I think gays absolutely should have the right. For the same reason Taylor [director Hackford] and I got married — to be able to say, by law, ‘This person is important to me.’”

Mirren also chats about how she once refused to marry, but Hackford won her over. “…Now I love being married. I love saying, ‘I’m going to see my husband tonight.’”
