How Many Homos Will Try to Compete On Oxygen’s Glee Reality Series?

USA Network’s $1 million-per-episode deal to syndicate ABC’s same-sex kiss-free Modern Family might be the shinier of the just announced TV deals, but it’s Oxygen’s six-figure sum for Fox’s Glee that I’m more thrilled about — because the arrangement also calls for Oxygen to air Glee specials. First up? A reality series (!) where wannabe cast members compete for a spot to sing on the show. For a show that just officially wrapped its first season, well, not bad.

According to the network no doubt, there will be Zero.

Wait, I thought that this had already gone ahead, and then been cancelled before airing? All the tapes that were sent in were used as straightforward audition tapes for Glee, rather than the suggested idea of having the best contenders enter a contest to win the roles.
