HRC’s Website Will Forever Be Accessible In Tennessee Schools

studentatcomputer

The ACLU’s federal lawsuit against Tennessee school districts that prohibited students from visiting certain gay-themed websites from school computers has been dismissed by a judge — though the decision comes after the districts agreed to remove the filtering software. So that makes sense, since the parties reach an out of court settlement. But if the districts suddenly start blocking Tennessee students’ access to the websites of HRC and PFLAG? It’s back to court!, says the ACLU. Couple this with Tennessee teachers being, ahem, legally about to talk about gay stuff, and the state is simply becoming a beacon of progressiveness!
