Shaun T (née Shaun Thompson), the rippling abs behind the “Insanity” workout program – brought to you by the same guys behind the Paul Ryan-approved P90X – came out via the Twitter this weekend.
Love B Scott reports Mr. T married his longtime boyfriend Scott Blokker on Saturday. The personal trainer tweeted photos of his wedding cakes – yes, cakes. Well, fine. Now that he’s a married man, Shaun might as well start letting himself g. He’s earned it.

Holy crap! Never would have thought this stud was gay. Bought his work-out program, and even though I’m in pretty good shape, it nearly killed me. Lots of nice eye candy, though.
Charli Girl
How. You like them apples Paul Romney? Lmao
EdWoody
Dayumm, I bet those two can make some noise.
Cam
Congratulations to the happy couple!
The right wing desperately wants all gays to stay in the closet and go away. Every time somebody comes out the bigots get weaker.
Thanks to these two and hope the wedding was great!
twoguysbrooklyn
I got the defintely gaydar vibe the first time I saw his infomercial. I’m unfit as anyone can be (used to be) but I find him mezmerizing. When these two go at it, they must have to put the fire dept on alert. DAMN!
phakedraparks
Gross. White bitches get all of the good men lol
kingkuy
@Mr. Enemabag Jones: go watch the infomercial for Hip-Hop Abs and you will def retract that statement. but i am extremely happy for him! his workouts always made me smile 🙂

This is an image you guys seem to prefer. Just another black gay guy with a white dude is all it is! The image is far too common to celebrate as it has done nothing but encourage the widespread perception that ALL black gay men hate being romantically involved with one another.
Not true, but it is a view and image largely enbrace within the gay community and causing black gay men to be viewed as hating their “blackness” that in turn leads them to seek out white partners to build relationships with. Seeing two black men perceived as loving one another is surprisingly revolutionary, especially among many within the GAY and black
communities; the image counts for everything important in challenging their prejudices against same-sex loving male couples.
Adding insult, you guys here at Queerty completely ignored the story about the black gay couple whose wedding video has gone viral so much that even the Huffington Post covered it.
badcompany
Here’s what’s real: I LOVE this image because it is an image of love not confined by the “rules” of society. It’s brave and daring of these individuals and I applaud them and would were they black, white, chinese, or purple with little green spots. Any further analysis of the situation only detracts from the giant step forward these two made for themselves and for our community as a whole…and I feel sad for anyone who doesn’t get that.
Congratulations to the Newlyweds…maybe I’ll actually get this workout now as a sort of wedding present, since I don’t actually know you.
Black Pegasus
I guess Queerty didn’t notice the Wedding that EVERYONE in the Twitter’verse, Youtube and Blogs were covering for the past two weeks. You know the one I’m talking about right? The one with the two Black college grads who married each other and caused a major stir..Yeah, that one..
I guess they were the wrong color, or maybe the object of their affection was the wrong color for Queerty to give a damn.
Oh, congrats to what’s his name pictured here on his nuptials.
northwest
Wow, I never knew that guy was gay!

This picture is too cute. Congratulations, Shaun T.

I’m ecstatic…. I stood by Port Authority/ Times Square-42nd street…. speaking to my friend on the phone…. and saw Shaun T and his partner walk towards 9th avenue, hand-in-hand, without a care in the world…. it was soooo great to see; they look awesome together….
Rockery
I hate stereotypes but when I saw the informercial and heard his voice I knew he was gay. Close your eyes next time and he sounds exactly like Richard Simmons just in a slightly deeper voice
M
Such a nice guy. Congrats to him.
jerbear
Great Point #4 Cam. The more that come out the easier it gets for all of us and the less of an issue it is for our community to be out and proud. These two are an inspiration and are so damn good looking!
darkanser
@Mr. Enemabag Jones: Yeah!! I didn’t see that one coming either. But I’ve been becoming increasingly less surprised by these revelations which I see as a good thing — both their increasing frequency and my response to them.
darkanser
@Rockery: Are you for real?…..LMAO….
sfbeast
@wendell:i agree with you. i’ve been wondering about this same issue for a long time. there’s an awful lot of guys who only chase other guys outside their own race. sometimes it seems self-hating. hopefully, however, they find happiness with each other.
Mjl-428
The Shaun T’s Hip-Hop Abs commercial told me and that was before I even knew if I was gay or not. I still didn’t even develop a gaydar yet. either way I’m happy for him.
and I had a feeling some of the members were going to bring up the racial issue here on queerty, but you know, sometimes their right.
viveutvivas
Americans are messed up. I think it is nice to see an interracial couple. For some reason interracial couples have all but disappeared from TV programs. For posters like Wendell here to apparently suggest that white people should only beallowed to date other white people seems really racist to me.
2eo
@Mjl-428: Prejudice is only prejudice when it happens to them.
phakedraparks
Girl I was just hating. I’m not prejudiced at all.@phakedraparks:
RLS
Lord the haters are out in full force today. It’s so funny how the bitter and lonely black gay guys are the first ones to be hating on an IR couple. I’m black too, and I used to feel the same way until I realized how freaking HARD it is to forge a true connection with anyone, regardless of their color. So I date black, white, Latino, whatever because a true connection with someone is going to trump racial differences.
Maybe we should be celebrating the fact that two people found each other instead of bashing it and dumping all our stuff on them. And for the record, Queerty did feature the viral wedding vid with the black Kappas, which was also a very beautiful video.
My fellow black gay men, we need to celebrate love before we end up like a lot of black women, bitter, judgmental, and ALONE. Gay black men and black women partner/marry at the LOWEST rates out of any group. Instead of bitching, maybe we can look to both of these examples of happy and healthy gay men getting MARRIED and wonder how we can get there, too.
Eric Auerbach
@kingkuy: Yeah, he’s really effeminate in that video.
Bob LaBlah
Shaun, you go. I never heard of you (don’t care for hip-hop, punk,rap-a-dap-dap……….etc) and I am VERY comfortable as to how I look. I must say (though I don’t know you personally) you look like the type who was more interesting in getting people who watch/watched you video to get their abs in shape.
As to be expected, not one of the black haters who showed up here offered a link to a black web site that ran this article on your marriage. That would have sounded too much like spreading the world that there is more to black gay men on the web than cruising and critizing. Complaining black queens are the type who would have come out swinging for Ms. Patty after she was recently ordered to pay $100k to a white mother for screaming at the top of her lungs at the mothers daughter. Rest assured, not ONE black website carried that one, not that I check but I know I don’t have to either.
Marry who you want and your heart desires. To hell with those who think they define black, asian, white (you name it)culture and feelings. You are you. Let them keep their lonely asses sitting at the bar drooling over the new piece of trade that just walked in and talk about it (the trade) when they show no interest in their lonely, pathetic ass.
Stephano
@Rockery: You hate stereotypes yet you use them to determine the sexuality of a person. As if homosexual males could not possibly be masculine or heterosexual males could not possible be feminine. -.-
Black Pegasus
@RLS: Don’t lecture me on how I should live my life or who I should date.. Just because you now chase cawk that’s outside of your race, doesn’t mean the rest of us should follow your lead. The fact remains; there are deep and ugly racial tensions that exist between White and Black Gay men, and if you wish to ignore it, then it’s fine by me, but don’t try selling your pollyanna nonsense to the rest of us…
Shaun T is a known Snow Queen, and while you’re on this site giving him your praises, he’d never look at your Black Ass unless you wanted to buy one of his info-mercial videos. lol
James from chicago
@Black Pegasus: Are there any famous black gay people who aren’t snowqueens.LOL???
M
@James from chicago:
I’m confused, did this guy ONLY date white guys or did he just end up with one.
Ending up with white guy does not a Snow Queen make…
David Gervais
Just scrolling down the comments; I came to the topic of racism. I had to go back and look at the picture again. I see a cute couple who got married, if you see a race issue, I think it comes from you. These guys seem to be happy regardless of anyone else’s preconceptions.
As for the comments about Queerty ignoring the wedding of the two guys at their frat, I take your point and agree. However, you still missed the point of that story, which is that the frat was supportive. Their genetic background is irrelevant to the meaning of the story.
David Gervais
Retraction:
Queerty did run the Kappa video, as noted by RLS above.
Papi Balenciaga
WHAT!!! This dude is gay and got a white boy fetish… I’m shocked.
@David Gervais: yes they did run it… A day late and a dollar short… I read about the two black dudes and their wedding last week on Rod 2.0.
Papi Balenciaga
@Black Pegasus: Now that’s what you call a good read.. Love it.
darkanser
@wendell: Hello Wendel: I understand where your sentiments are coming from. As a black man living in South Florida, I’ve witnessed certain “trends” of behavior among black men here also. It was a marked change from when I lived in the Caribbean. I date other black men but I don’t exclude men of other races. Having said that I’ve seen personal ads where black men have stated how they don’t date other black men — as if this were a selling point. (For that matter,I’ve known white guys who didn’t date other white guys too.) But then a friend made me realize that this can be a very lonely life and we don’t have as large a pool of potential partners as do straight guys. And when it comes to the heart, who are we to judge? So if we find love and companionship from a significant other, we should consider ourselves blessed and bless others who have found it too.
Cee
@Mr. Enemabag Jones: How did you not know he was gay? lol Was obvious to me.
Cee
@Black Pegasus: I know I should not be laughing, but hell…that was funny LMAO
Sebizzar
@Mr. Enemabag Jones: Seriously!? I knew the moment my mom started using his DVDs haha and she even said herself she thought he was gay. Glad he came out but could have been sooner… but good for him and congrats on his marriage his husband is very lucky 😉
