This last July, Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson faced charges of “assault causing bodily injury to a family member” for beating his “longtime roommate” Charles Clavens. One report says that Clavens and Benson clashed at 5am during a talk “about their problems,” though Benson’s lawyer accused Clavens of blackmailing Benson (though with what nobody knows).
Benson has agreed to pay Clemons an undisclosed amount and complete 30 hours of community service to get the assault charges dismissed. Has living as a closeted athlete caused Benson to blow his top?
Wait, that sounds different from what we meant.
Yeah, who could resist a domestic abuser?

http://stephenssportsspin.com/.....nt_id=2860 Maybe you should post a picture of the victim. This looks worse than anything Chris Brown ever did to Rihanna. I guess when you beat someone less famous than you the media doesn’t care, and would much rather spend their time speculating on the abusers sexuality and less on the very serious crime of domestic violence.

@ Tony – there are always people who can find a reason to validate any kind of violence. Do you honestly believe that whopping somebody as badly as he did is going to STOP them from talking. Hell, I’d be on the six o’clock news if my partner every even threatened to beat me up and his career would be over.

Does that mean I can’t draft him for my Fantasy Football team this year?
He is a Bengal. If you’re not committing some sort of felony or at least a few misdemeanors as a Bengal, then you don’t get paid.
