Jacob Rudolph, the New Jersey teen whose coming-out video has gone viral, had his phasers set to “stunned” on Anderson Live.
While hanging with Mr. Cooper, Jacob expressed his admiration for George Takei and lo and behold, who was standing backstage the entire time?
Jacob sent the video of his coming-out speech to the over 300 students, faculty and staff of Parsippany High School to Takei, who posted it on his Facebook page.
Takei applauded Jacob for the video and told him that he’s proud of him for “pulling at that wagon of equality with the rest of us.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

I thought this moment would be saturated with kitsch, but two of my idols, George Takei and Anderson Cooper, plus this awesome brave kid, made it cool
