Jersey Cop Scores $415k Discrimination Settlement

Speaking of gay cops, meet Robert Colle. He's the New Jersey police officer who just won a $415,000 settlement claim after accusing his chief and other cops of harassing him because he's gay. Colle went on leave in August 2007, sued two months later, and will resign as part of the settlement.

Good for him but why did he still have to resign?

Maybe so they wouldn't have to be sued again for the same thing.
