For too long we’ve surrendered hip-hop to straight male rappers whose videos are filled with big breasted gals and lyrics about pleasing them by the dozens. Then along comes homo rapper Johnny Dangerous with the very, very sexual single “Hotline.” Featuring QBoy and Soce, the track’s video is explicit, raunchy, and everything we look for in gay hip hop. (Yes, it’s NSFW.)
Listen to or purchase the album White Hot at CDBaby.com.
LOL! LOL! LOL!
That is all.
This is the lamest, grossest shit I’ve ever heard. Everyone in this video is either fugly or creepy…please no more jesus mary moses.
This video is why God kills kittens.
well… the lyrics gave me a boner but the visuals quickly killed it. this is not on the same level of hotness as mainstream straight rap videos as far as i can tell. we need to work on this guys and make it into a viable “art form”.
it certainly is nsfw. Huh. Not my cuppa. But it does have a lingering interest.
And here I was expecting a cute clip staring Michael Keaton….
LOL! The chorus sounds like something from Saturday Night Live.
what a load of old shit!
It looks so cheap . I completely agree with Ben.
I could have dne better by shooting something with my Nokia!!!
it’s not the video..the music itself…just sounded like it was concocted by a 1st year sound engineering student…
Are these guys really trying to appear masculine and rough or are they sort of gay beastie boys?
They seem a bit femmy or is that the point?
I dunno, gay white guys doing rap just seems lame and forced. These guys are so not hard-core gang-banger types.
I guess they get a B for trying.
I LOVE Qboy. And that video was HOT!
I felt somewhere between highly-amused and kinda skeeved out. Mostly, though, I felt embarrassed for them.
Come on guys, they didn’t have a big budget. I don’t object to anything in the video. I think the video quality made it seem cheap. A few years ago I watched my first low budget independent movie and it was an eye opener. Even though the acting and story were as good as any big Hollywood film of it’s kind it looked cheap because of the video. I don’t know what big Hollywood movies and tv shows do with the film to enhance the picture but there is a difference between high and low budget video productions.
well, something seemed off in the music. Maybe because it’s brit rap, which I haven’t really heard before. I do think it lacks some variety in the beat and the delivery of the rhymes needs work.
I don’t like Eminem but his delivery is fast and has rhythm. Maybe he’s not your gold standard but look at the amt of cash he’s raked in.
this is some nice homo rap from god-des

Though it does look like it was shot on a very low budget with the camera being the most expensive item I liked it.
The song does have a catchy beat. If I were still into buying cd’s this would be in my collection. Youtube and the availability of just about anything you want to see and hear changed my buying habits.
B*O*R*I*N*G
People commmenting that these guys arent hot…well most mainstream straight rappers arent hot either.
Song could of done with a better chorus. The third guy was a bit funny to me, like something you would see on snl. I liked the second guy though. Not a bad song, I have heard worst crap on the radio getting regular play.
@anonyy…:
they aren’t but that’s not what’s supposed to be hot about their videos. it’s the female dancers. thinking about it now that’s what these guys should have done but with male dancers instead of putting themselves up there.
If this is gay hip hop, let’s not, shall we?
Beyond a hot mess as the woman in my office likes to say and as a total non-rap hip hop fan myself, I doubt if the ones in that vile, alleged form of music even consider this guy a rapper and, the other white rapper has nothing to worry about here.
I thought we already had xtube for when we wanted to see ugly people saying raunchy shit.
There are dozens of out gay and Lesbian rappers and hip hop artists and Johnny Dangerous’ style of it is in the minority(although Queerty seems to like it. Hmm, I wonder why).
This is not representative of the genre as a whole AT ALL.
Please do not think this is what gay hip hop is. Google “Gay Hip Hop” to find out about the real deal.
Queerty should make more post about gay music artist who usually don’t get attention.
I liked this way more than I expected! The chorus is weak but the beat gets my hips grinding and their flows aren’t half bad. I was never a fan of what I heard of Caushun (sp?) and this is definitely a step up. I love how they didn’t pull any punches with the sexually explicit lyrics (I was holding my breath for a rimming reference and dudes did NOT disappoint) yet still maintained a sense of humor about the whole thing. I feel like they’ve been influenced by some of the nastier female rappers out there, Khia (trainwreck! I miss her myspace blog) and Trina and the like, which is awesome because hardcore female rap gets no credit, as evidenced by how those two have faded into oblivion and Lil Kim is on fucking DWTS anymore. I digress; in my opinion this is a step forward for gay rap. Still has a ways to go to catch up with some of the lesbian rap out there though, Yo! Majesty ftw.
Uhm, no, I will not be calling his hotline and I sure won’t be telling my friendz/menz.
I guess I have to applaud the effort but, yea I can stop right there.
Vid looked cheap, but props to them for going all out.
As someone said earlier, the lyrics were boner-inducing.
wow
i’m a huge hip hop fan and this is just trash
the lyrics are really laughable and it does seem like something out of a SNL skit.
the 1st dude Johnny Dangerous is UGLY and not appealing, and the track is WHACK!
Seems to be going for something comedic… especially the part at the end. I find just find that insulting.
I love sex. Sex is hot. Sex is fun. My sex is not to be sneered at though.
Oh My God, they are sharing a lollipop!
@Mike: I feel the same way, the song stirred something in my boxer shorts, but then the video and the guys all primped and plucked making porno girl faces quickly put an end to that.
Hip Hop is not my thing though, but I would listen to it again, minus the “made at the mall” video.
Hip hop regardless of sexual orientation sounds like retarded nursery school rhymes to me.
Bunch of tards.
I like hip-hop and this wasn’t bad. But the thing about hip-hop is its unabashed masculinity. The 2 guys here did not look fem per se, but they sure let out that “sss” sound pretty strongly. Reminded me of escaping steam.
Does Johnny Dangerous ever sing about anything different? This is exactly like all the other songs I’ve heard from him. They’re all gross.
There is some really interesting Queercore and Queer hip hop out there, don’t let this make you think otherwise.
This track is catchy. Even though the last guy is kind of goofy, I listened closely, and he generally rhymes 4 and even 6 syllables in a row, which isn’t as easy as it may sound! Funny to hear that kind of street flow in the middle of a pop track.
This is a hot video and the song is hella catchy. Johnny D has been in the outhiphop game for a longass time and it’s good to see him stretch the boundaries in a direction that is cliche for straight rappers but fresh for us. Good job!
let me guess… a bunch of middle-aged white guys commenting on hip-hop… SMH!
Wow. A lot of haters here. Hip Hop is not normally a genre I would gravitate to, but this song and video makes quite a statement. I checked out Johnny’s other work and it’s quite impressive. I assume because these guys don’t fit the stereotype of how “muscle gay guys” look, they’re unattractive? Funny, their brilliance and comfortability with themselves is quite a turn on.
@Mr. B: Thanks Mr.B for summing it up for me. I’m a big fan of Johnny Dangerous and have followed his progression from the beginning. He’s come a long way and I can’t wait to see how much further. I would definitely call that hotline! :)
