People think, ‘Oh, she’s been single for too long.’ That’s kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn’t mean you’re gay. But I’m never insulted by it, obviously. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it’s just not my thing. I’ve always batted for the boys’ team.”

I used to think she was a lesbian, but a lot of her songs all bitch about men. NOBODY bitches about men more than straight women!

In a way, it’s refreshing that Kelly hasn’t succumbed to the “I’m bisexual” marketing strategy that has dominated the marketing of other female pop acts. Kelly has talent and doesn’t need fake marketing ploys that ultimately insult the GLBT community and which are usually conceived by straight guys who couldn’t care less about GLBT rights.
Kelly should be admired for not succumbing to sleazy “bisexual female” marketing strategies.
