A report by the International Planned Parenthood Federation highlights the growing number of countries, including the U.S. that are making the spread of HIV a crime. The report points out that "in Sierra Leone, for example, this approach led to the approval of a law that explicitly criminalizes a mother living with HIV who exposes her fetus to the virus.
