UP FIRST: It’s Marsden vs. Skarsgard in Straw Dogs
Agreed. I love my superficial beefcake as much as amyone, but not going ogle a character who rapes and terrorizes women, just because the actor is hot or shirtless in the film. It’s a step too far to recommend the film in that way.

@ Breck Roy:
If it means anything to you, Kate Bosworth (the actress playing the raped woman) claims she was enamored by Skarsgard during the rape scene. Just saying.

Movie hit too close to home for me… I wanted to leave, but I wasn’t there by myself. I wanted to cry when the woman realized that there was another man in the room, by the record player turning on. I hated skarsgard in that moment. If he had asked me for head on the way out of the movie I would have punched him. lol

Yeah, but in STRAW DOGS, ASkars rapes a woman. I don’t care how naked his chatacter gets or how sexy he is as an actor, I can’t curl up and ogle a guy as he rapes someone, and then terrorizes her and her husband. May be a great movie, not able to objectify.
