Philadelphia Gays Get Drenched for Equal Rights, Not Wet T-Shirt Contest

Gay Rights Rally

It was cold. It was wet. That didn't stop hundreds of gay rights advocates from demonstrating at the National Equality Rally in Philadelphia, demanding equal rights across the spectrum: marriage! workplace protections! AIDS funding! military service! health care! Townhall: "Allison Woolbert, who chairs the Interweave gay rights group of southern New Jersey, said she wanted more attention given to health care for transgender people, who she said often are refused care by medical personnel and whose medications are not covered in health plans."

I think its upsetting that this is the only coverage you have of Equality Forum this year. What a great week long event in Philadelphia and you cover only this. Disappointing.

Philadelpis was the only city I ever lived in where it could be sunshine and warm 80 degree tempatures and still feel gloomy and dirty.

I was there. It was disappointing compared to last year. The rain really ruined it. I met the cutest guy there too…
