Phoenix City Council Acknowledges Domestic Partner Rights

“Equality Arizona applauded today’s Phoenix City Council decision to adopt an ordinance to recognize domestic partnerships in the City of Phoenix. By a vote of 6 to 0, with 3 members absent, the council approved the creation of a domestic partner registry for Phoenix residents, granting unmarried gay or straight couples in committed relationships the right to visit each other in the hospital.” [AP]

as a resident of phoenix who went to cali to get married, i can say the city of phoenix has a budget shortfall. they want to charge you $50 to get your so called domestic partner certificate. big deal. the homophobic christian assholes are happy to take your money folks. if you want to be protected, go to a lawyer and have it done right.
