We’ve always wanted to visit Bangkok, Asia’s gay mecca, so when the opportunity rose, we grabbed it faster than you can say “18-hour flight.” Pretty soon we were adventuring around the neighborhoods of Silom Soi 2 and Soi 4, home to queer hotspots like Telephone, Club Cafe and DJ Station. Flash-forward a few weeks later GayCities has launched a full-fledged guide to gay-friendly destinations in Bangkok.
Although most of the gay clubs are concerned with privacy (photos have to be taken inconspicuously and without flash), we managed to capture one of the rowdiest nights at DJ Station. The young revelers seemed to be glad to be caught on camera, posing and begging for several shots. The Thai generation gap must’ve started when Lady Gaga released “Paparazzi.”

this is great. a bunch of blurry, generic photos?! queerty, you’ve outdone yourself.

Cute Asian and Caucasian guys. Blurry photos. And most importantly, an unfriendly photo viewing experience. Queerty really needs to fix this. At least use thumbnails so we can preview the pictures or have a slideshow option or something.

Pic #7 – #9 looked very blurry. I thought there would be more Asian guys. How come the picturesnd included more white guys when this event took place in Thailand.

Wow, was JUST at DJ Station not even a few weeks ago while backpacking… quite possibly the craziest club in Bangkok. First floor is ALWAYS packed, and I mean Tokyo rush hour subway packed. Second and third are great to hang out at and meet guys. And don’t let the photos here fool you, it’s HARD to take pictures at DJ Station. Congrats on getting out to Silom! Best and cheapest sexy underwear vendor stalls in the world.

Wait a minute. You flew all the way to Bangkok to post pictures of white guys in tank tops that could found in any local paper in their ‘On The Scene’ section?
Kudos, Queerty. Money well-spent.
