Have we got a tip for you – head on over to HFK Studio and check out homo-photog Miles Ladin’s first solo exhibit: TIPS (From a Native New Yorker).
A collection of Ladin’s years snapping celebrities, go-go boys, party goers and the general mayhem that is New York life, the artist describes TIPS as “The running theme of the show is edgy insider’s view of New York City with a sardonic take.” The subject matter may be a bit grim, but the images are anything but. In fact, they’re another word that starts with ‘g’: glorious.
Take a little peek at this gallery and then be sure to head over to KHF Studio (30 Vandam Street, bet. 6th ave & Varick st) before June 13th, when TIPS closes. And, of course, you probably want to poke around Ladin’s blog.
