One of the year’s most enjoyable comedies, Date and Switch (now on DVD and Blu-ray) follows two high school pals who are determined to lose their v-card before prom night. Sounds like every teen comedy from the ’80s, right? However, this time the lives of the buds get extra complicated after one of them comes out of the closet.
The endearing film from director Chris Nelson was hailed for its genuine humor and winning performances. Yet for many viewers it offers an early opportunity to check out Dakota Johnson (daughter of Melanie Griffiths and Don Johnson) ahead of her hotly-anticipated starring turn in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey.
Watch an outtake from the film with Johnson below.

Just watched this today on Amazon. Surprisingly good. I was bored and thought what the hell maybe it’s not as bad as all that (cuz let’s face it: usually gay films suck balls) but this was fun. The guys are too old to be playing high schoolers (which would matter if it were a serious drama) and they’re pretty heavy handed with he’s-just-a-regular-dude-kinda-gay thing, but so much so that it was distracting or overbearing. The ex-gf/new-gf (to explain would be to spoil) is a peach and the supporting cast does a great job chewing the scenery.

The only gay films that don’t suck balls, typically include sucking balls at some point in the film.
