The Village People’s very own cowboy, Randy Jones, may have “married” his boyfriend in a New York club before it was legal, but he plans to make it official with his partner of 30 years, Will Grega, in an impressive three-day celebration this weekend in New York City.
According to a last-minute press release issued by Jones, his three-day disco-marriage blowout will consist of a public proposal, dancing in Columbus Circle, dancing at a rooftop bar, and even more dancing in Little Italy! What more would you expect from the man that made a living dancing in costume?
On Day 1, Randy will “pop the question” in front of friends and family in Columbus Circle, followed by a celebratory dance. Day 2 brings the ceremony, where the couple will be wed at City Hall in front of their mothers before heading to “a trendy rooftop bar” at a celebration hosted by “Jason” from Friday the 13th Part 2.
Day 3, of course, will “honor the Italian heritage of Will Grega” with a “true Italian banquet” at a restaurant in Little Italy. Although it’s not stated in the press release, we’re sure a cacophony of Village People jokes will be provided throughout.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“I now have a lifetime membership to the YMCA,” Grega said. Wonder how long it’ll be before someone makes a “macho man” joke?
Congratulations to the happy couple!

I thought they were all straight.
