No longer relegated to merely The New Adventures of Old Christine and gay rights rallies, Wanda Sykes landed her own Saturday night weekly gabfest on Fox. More Real Time With Bill Maher than regular talk show, Sykes' program is set for a fall or January debut, when American Idol can run endless promos to its 25 million viewers.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Gays and blacks rule television talk. We're not sure why, and there are plenty of exceptions, but it's one field where both communities continue to excel. Kudos to Sykes to merging the demographics. WE WIN!

Just please, leave Arianna Huffington to Maher's show.

I loves me some Wanda, but I get the feeling that this is just FOX setting up to screw Wanda again, just like they did with Wanda at Large.

I love love LOVE Wanda Sykes. Plus, this will distract us from that Jimmy Fallon disaster, at least for a moment or two.

Great for Wanda, even better for me. I've always enjoyed her talent. Someething to look forward to along with the new episodes for Rick & Steve! :)
