Willam Belli & Co. may have closed the festivities at last weekend’s Life Ball in Vienna, but that doesn’t mean they were the only show-stopping queens in sight.
Donning his best sequin robe and turban for the event’s “Arabian Nights” theme, Adam Lambert and his dancers rocked the stage with a brand new single, “Love Wins Over Glamour“, which was written exclusively for the event. Mr. Lambert has never been one to disappoint when it comes to theatrics, so it’s not surprising that the mere flick of his wrist commanded a curtain to drop, revealing a mob of hot, shirtless dancers.
Standing ovation, Adam! You are way over the top, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The lyrics, written exclusively for the event:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Pots of gold won’t do, little brother
If you don’t share your love with one another
Flash don’t matter
Love wins over glamour
Polaro
I love me some Adam Lambert.

Love that Adam Lambert is a bigger star than the bumpkin that won AI that year.

Has he had a hit since the little ditty Pink wrote for him? You know the song – it didn’t have costumes or dancers or theatrics….certainly you must know the song because it’s one of one Adam Lambert songs you hear on the radio.

@Snapper59: Actually, as much as this may come as a shock to you, not ALL of us require radio to tell us what to like or buy.As far as dancing and theatrics, this is THE BIGGEST AIDS fundraiser in Europe and the theme was 1001 Arabian Nights. What would YOU have had Lambert do, stand at a mic only? He co-wrote this song just for this performance and the lyrics mean ALL. He rocks solid and has been having success Internationally. Now you can go back to listening to your mindless hetero female pop divas who feel the necessity to get naked in public to enhance their drivel.

@queenrosered: So I take that as a no, he hasn’t had a hit since the song Pink wrote for him. You know, she’s had about a half-dozen chart toppers since then, that “mindless hetero female pop diva”!

@Snapper59: It’s pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain that radio doesn’t play music that people want to hear, they play music that they want to sell, by that reckoning a ‘Radio Hit’ means absolutely nothing except that the artist is one that the record company feels that they need to shove down peoples throats in order to sell records. Adam had a Number 1 album in Trespassing with very minimal radio play, that’s real success.

@Snapper59: So I take that as a “you have reading comprehension challenges”? I do NOT rely on radio, LOL! Firstly, Top 40 is just that and why listen to the same song list all day? Second, why would I need a radio PD of DJ to decide for me what I want to hear? I don’t. Because I’m not a sheep. If the only way YOU define “success” is with number one hits or Grammys then YOU have a problem, not me.With no Grammy yet, he is in VERY GOOD company indeed! Adam Lambert is BEYOND talented and is making a very good living doing what he loves to do, sing and entertain. He’s happy and that makes me happy for him. And magsmegenta here is correct, the label pours more money and effort into established artists at the expense of the newer less established ones and the competition is fierce, more so now than ever in the record industry. But this isn’t a thesis about the industry.Lambert is and will continue to be just fine thank you.
