Masculinity Crisis

WATCH: Toronto Man Resolves Gay Identity Struggle by Joining Gay Rugby Team

Is it just us or has the sports world gone gayer than ever this year? And it’s not just American athletes throwing some curve balls. The Toronto gay rugby team has released this video depicting the struggle one man goes through from ballet lessons to leather accessories in trying to fit in to gay stereotypes.

Thankfully, the “Gay Man Who Wasn’t Gay Enough” resolves his identity crisis by the end of the 3-minute video. But we are left a little confused as to how joining a sport where men tackle each other to the ground and crotch-grabbing is encouraged falls outside these stereotypes, especially since we’re pretty sure Ben Cohen has never come across a water fight in the locker room.
