It doesn’t have the slick production edge of an Apple commercial, or even a National Organization for Marriage ad, but the National Marriage Boycott‘s student-driven grassroots appeal to Barack Obama has heart. Meet the Stanford students who say they’re boycotting marriage until the Defense of Marriage Act is repealed.

I’m boycotting celibacy until the Catholic Church says gay priests are okay.
I don’t like how some of these arguments go for the whole “civil unions don’t have the same rights” argument. The anti-gay marriage folks can just say “okay, make the rights the same” and what happens… you still are stuck with a “lessor-but-equal” arrangement. Go for all or nothing! Don’t worry.. all *will* be what you get.
