“At least 12 people were injured when a deck at a crowded east Atlanta bar collapsed early Friday morning. Customers at My Sister’s Room at 1271 Glenwood Avenue said the deck behind the bar gave way suddenly about 2:00 a.m. People were piled on top of each other and trapped under the deck. “People were yelling and screaming for help,” said customer Nikki Harris. Emergency crews from Atlanta and Dekalb County responded to the scene.” [WSBTV]

Failed the stress test, huh?

I was at a party in the 1980’s where the entire balcony collapsed. From that day I always paid attention to small things like that and if it is beyond the first floor where are the fire exits. It is sad but one should take note of things like that.

The comments on the WSB site are awful.
Bitch, please!
Hey, it was a good that these were lesbians. Once they recover they will go back and build a stronger deck!
James P. P.
so here it is, lesbians actually being fucked by a big deck.
end result? they’re still lesbians.

@Bitch, please!: That is so wrong but yet so right. I mean, if they would have just let the lesbians build it in the first place it could have been piled up with elephants and never collapsed.
@Prof: My aunt’s boyfriend was in a nite club fire in RI where he had to kick through a locked door to get out, so I am also very cautious about safety exits.

Not surprised at all. There’s an awful lot of obese lesbians waddling around.

Guys, please. People were hurt here and could have been killed or permanently injured for life. I know it is tempting but I mean really, not now.

Worried About Lesbian Health
I really think this highlights the concerns we should all have with lesbian health crisis. I hope the lesbian community will see this as a wake up call and take action. The lesbians have been our “wives” and “mothers” throughout the AIDS epidemic. Now is our turn to repay the favor. Let’s unite for lesbian health.

Come on guys! BE NICE! Aren’t you a little wary of anywhere people are suspended like a balcony? Haven’t you noticed how a second floor of a shopping mall shakes when you’re standing still? I knew a 21-year-old girl killed in the 1981 Kansas City Hyatt hotel balcony collapse. She was a friend from high school.

Hi galefan2004! Was that the fire where Great White had that horrible pyro fire? That was so sad and they said people had to break windows to try and get out but that only allowed more fueling of the fire. They had alot of sad stories after of how people lost their lives.

@Joanaroo: Ilm sorry to hear about your friend. Fortunately these things don’t often happen on that scale! No, the problem isn’t with the customers, but with either whoever built the thing wrong (and the inspector(s) who passed it) or with the business for allowing too many people to use it at once.
(Are lesbians really fatter than straight women? I’ve never paid much attention)
