International Family Equality Day is almost upon is (where does the time go?) and the Family Equality Council is teaming up with the LGBT Center of New York and the Outspoken Generation program for a giant photo shoot featuring LGBT families in the heart of Times Square.
On May 6 at 8am, gay clans are invited to gather at the TKTS booth at Broadway and 47th Street in the heart of Time Square, followed by a luncheon and tea dance at the LGBT Community Center in the West Village. ((The first 10 families to arrive will receive one free limited edition Todd Parr Family Equality T-shirt.)
Can’t make it to the Big Apple? Other events are scheduled on Sunday in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Canada, South Africa, Finland, Germany and Switzerland.
And on May 8, the Family Equality Council hosts its annual Night at the Pier along the Hudson River, where Clay Aiken and Tony-nominated actress Montego Glover (Memphis) help celebrate the progress we’ve made toward full equality as a community of loving families.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
