Here’s How To Set Your Single Gay Friends Up On A New Reality Dating Show

Predate_2

In the age of hook-up apps and ever-shortening attention spans, finding solid, real love becomes an increasingly daunting task. We’re taught to protect ourselves by building walls around our hearts, but the risk is never letting anyone infiltrate the love fortress.

Well there’s a new reality TV show that promises to cut through the nonsense and find men the boyfriends of their dreams.

If the idea of reality television bringing people down to earth sounds a bit farfetched, that’s because it is. But we’d be lying if we said it didn’t sound like captivating entertainment.

We don’t know the exact format the show, set to appear on a “major cable network,” but here’s one thing we do know — if you fancy yourself an eligible single gay, you can get in on the action.

Casting submissions are currently under way.

Perhaps you’re looking to shake things up a bit, or maybe you have a friend who needs a kick in the rear to get serious with his dating game you’d like to nominate.

Here’s the description from the call:

“SEEKING THE ULTIMATE CATCH: someone who is charismatic, gorgeous, successful, and genuinely looking for LOVE.”

Yuck. Why “kick” anyone “in the rear to get serious with his dating game”? Smacks of SATC desperation of HAVING to be coupled up. Few things are a bigger turn-off. Yentas are a nuisance.

Sounds like a rehash of the 2003 reality series Boy Meets Boy. hopefully this one won’t have the charming “twist” that half the boys were actually straight.

Oops. I don’t quite qualify on all those points.

Not to mention I’m sure nobody over age 45 would remotely be considered.

Would they consider enrolling a dashing and smart 42 yo guy in the show? I would like to date gorgeous young boys, preferably blondes, ranging from 18 to 25 yo.
