Lance Bass Teases Distant *NSYNC Reunion, Thinks Miley Cyrus Is “A Big Deal”

Screen Shot 2013-08-27 at 1.30.36 PMYou may have missed the rushed *NSYNC reunion at Sunday night’s VMAs if you blinked shortly after Justin Timberlake begrudgingly welcomed his former bandmates to the stage.

The legendary boy band reassembled for Justin Timberlake’s Michael Jackson Vanguard Award performance and, according to Lance Bass, it won’t be happening again anytime soon.

“It would be lovely to do it,” Bass said of a possible reunion tour on Monday, “but we’ve got nothing planned.” There’s no telling how quickly the only out member of the group will blow through his fancy VMA check, but once he has, a reunion tour is a definite possibility.  “If we did anything like that, I think we would come up with something real special where we could actually call it `The Reunion,’” he said.

Bass says a reunion tour isn’t “part of the conversation right now” because JT is headed out on a solo tour this fall.

But the old man (by today’s standards) may need a tuneup before another grueling tour. He says he felt a “little queasy” during the final moments of that performance, and not because of Miley Cyrus‘ rump-shakin’ shenanigans earlier in the night. “I mean it’s a big deal,” he said of the spectacle, but “she’s just being Miley.”
