Hey Twi-hards, still going through withdrawal without those nocturnal fantasies involving Taylor Lautner and/or Robert Pattinson? Then get ready to sink your fangs into Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters. Based on author Richelle Mead’s best-selling series of novels about Rose Hathaway, teenaged half-vampire bodyguard for her best friend, Lissa, who attend a private boarding school, the first film is already shooting in England with a cast that includes Gabriel Byrne, Joely Richardson, Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland and —remember this next name —Danila Kozlovsky (pictured) who’s been cast as, ahem, the tale’s heartthrob Dimitri. Also consider this: the screenplay was written by Heathers scribe Daniel Waters, so expect lots of trademark snark along the lines of “Fuck me gently with a chainsaw.”
Want to be part of the excitement? For your chance, visit vampireacademybloodsisters.com before June 26. One grand prize winner will receive an exclusive, once in a lifetime trip to the set of the film to meet the cast and crew. The prize package will include airfare and accommodations for four days in London, a one-day set visit, a flip camera to document the experience, and a tour of London. That doesn’t suck.
