The gay "community" is indeed largely engineered to fit a white, liberal and affluent ideal: you should dress a certain way, listen to certain (crappy) music, never vote anything but Democrat (but gods forbid you don't vote), shop and live at certain places, donate to HRC (or at least pretend you do by sporting the sticker), and pretend that ethnicity and upbringing don't matter when you're an adult.

That's why they really need to develop their own
Prides and clubs and such in that respect they are no different than those attending a hateful church such as Obama's Trinity. The need to feel superior and different than whitey far outweighs their gayness.
