The Associated Press pays some attention to gay voting woes today. Apparently it takes an entire report to show that most homos don’t like the Republicans, while others find the Democrats to be pandering ninnies.
We won’t get into the nitty gritty of it, but want to highlight this quote from our friend Kerry Eleveld, the news editor of The Advocate:
The grass-roots activists are upset that the candidates haven’t been more out there, especially on the issue of same-sex marriage. The lobbyist activists think in terms of electability. They’re always going to be a little more practical and give more leeway to the candidates.
The article then looks at Joe Solmonese and his staff at Human Rights Campaign. Just saying…

I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE having to vote for the “lesser of 2 evils”, but the Dems know they have us over a barrel. What are we going to do, vote for the GOP??? In the end they know the vast majority of gays will vote for the Dem nominee no matter who it is, so they play it safe with the rest of America. Unfortunately the best thing to do is to swallow our pride and vote for the Dem nominee. Either that or risk another 4-8 yrs of bible thumping GOPs in charge. However, we should probably vote for the national Dem candidate, we need to give our MONEY to local politicians who ARE supportive of equal rights.

In the words of Glenn Beck, “Both parties suck.”
I really am so apathetic I doubt I will even vote.
I wonder if the Republicans supported Gays 100% would they leave the Democrats?
