Former Gay Foe Changes His Tune

Tom Bush made a name for himself when he fought against using public funding for a production of Angels in America. The 59-year old attorney and President Bush pal spouted the same anti-gay rhetoric we all know and loathe: gays are sinners.

Eleven years down the road and Bush seems to have broadened his homo horizons. A little:

I think that homosexuality is something the government shouldn’t promote. On the other hand, it’s clear to me that Christ died for everyone. Whether homosexual or heterosexual or a eunuch, you are eligible for entry into heaven by simply believing Christ died for your sins. So we need to be careful who we judge.

Does anyone out there know if Christ accepts bribes? We’re a little hesitant to put all our sins on him – we’ve got loads…
