George Michael, Role Model?

I sort of agree with former BBC host Jonathan Ross when he calls George Michael a “much-needed alternative role model to young gay men,” because Michael is both flamboyant and macho and, according to Ross, a “strong, butch, unashamedly gay man” who shows other gays they don’t have to be “camp or feminised.” Then again, Michael is also the guy who keeps getting arrested for drug abuse and drunk driving, and I’m not sure that’s something we should all aspire to be? Alan Cumming once took that advice, and, well.

He’s no role model and really look at him when he first broke through till the mid 90′s he wore makeup had more product in his hair than a beauty queen. How is that any different from the young queens now?

i don’t find ANY celebrity who comes out on the downside of their career a particularly good role model.

Butch, role model? You’ve got to be kidding. Take his gay card please, we don’t need him. Only role model George would be is – “don’t let this happen to you!”
