Queerty really should mention that Mr. Westerwelle is not only the foreign minister, but also Vice Chancellor. Which means he is basically, in American terms, the Vice President.

And in the UK our de facto deputy prime minister and Business Secretary, Lord Mandelson, as well as the Culture Secretary and Chief Whip, are all gay… A shame Obama couldn’t have appointed an out man or woman to his cabinet – Napolitano doesn’t really count…
