Have You Bought Tickets Yet To Buju Banton’s January Concert In Miami?

Buju Banton, the unrepentant anti-gay reggae artist free on $250k bail while awaiting February’s retrial after a jury deadlocked on his drug charges, is a master at avoiding ridicule. When his American concerts were shut down after pressure from gay activists, he just rescheduled. And given his mounting legal bills, Buju is using his limited free time to score some cash. Like at a planned Jan. 16 concert in Miami.

Quick, gays, dust off those pitchforks! Buju wants to bust out the batty boys!

Real name Mark Myrie, Buju is enjoying a nod from the Recording Academy, which bestowed his record Before The Dawn with a Best Reggae Album Grammy nomination. (Interestingly, also booked for the concert is Stephen Marley, who beat Buju for the Best Reggae Album award at last year’s Grammys.) And now he’s enjoying a special grant from a judge, who gave Buju the all-clear to perform while he awaits his new trial. The only question is whether Buju will be accompanied by groupies the $20k/month security detail that’s supposed to keep him from fleeing the country.

      Every Gay person who has anyting to do with the music business should grow a pair of balls and notify the Grammy org that they will be boycotting anything to do with the event until they withdraw any support for this vile, disgusting, pig scumbag………

      Why do the Gays want everyone to accept their lifestyle?. I thought the GREAT USA recognizes freedom of speech? You want your rights and yet you are denying someone else their rights. Can the Gays tell me of one incident where someone was killed because of Buju’s Lyrics? Name place, time and date. Why are you upset with what he says? The Good Book states that man should multiply and replenish the earth,that was why he made Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      @Sharon FreeBuju:

      I’m pretty sure it was Adam and Yves, not Adam and Eve.

      @Apple:

      Isn’t what Buju advocates against gays a kind of “censorship?” He calls for gays to be mutilated and murdered. Isn’t this just a way of silencing gays, intimidating us and trying to keep us in our place?

      Couldn’t you call this “Censorship, with extreme prejudice?”

      Note how the Grammys organization has given 10 nominations to that other homophobe Eminem? I’d like to know who sits on the nominating committee for this vile organization so that I can send them an email expressing my disgust with them.

      Sharon Freebuju,

      Buju is a vile black man who promotes violence against gay people. He ought to be sent packing.

      @Jason:
      Please explain why you need to bring up Juju’s race? Are you implying that there’s a specific genetic correlation between race and homophobia?

      Get a clue: Religiosity is a better predector of attitudes toward same-sex orientaton than is race.

      Get a clue: Get an education.

      (So sorry to hear about what you saw your mom doing w/ a woman. Don ‘t blame your dad,)

      Black people often use the word “black” to market themselves. Since when are they so special that only they can use the word? Words don’t belong to any particular person or group.

      At the same time, I am not prejudiced. I am not prejudiced towards black people. I am well informed that some black people are terrific people and some aren’t.

      @Jason:
      Gay people often use the word “gay” to identify themselves.

      You, as a “loud, proud bisexual” who despises women, should be honest: you don ‘t like people. You fear women. You revile. You invent statistics.

      Are you raçist? Yes, because better than half of your tinfoil-hat induced rants involve race. Even when that has no bearing on the issue at hand,

      Get some help.
      I mean, better help than you’re presently getting.

      Are you serious?? I am a huge supporter of Buju Banton and nobody after listening to his song goes out and kills anybody thats gay. He has his rights to sing anything he wants long as he doesn’t hurt anyone. Who has he hurt and for pity sakes can somebody answer me as to how gay rights are equal to civil rights. How someones color that can’t be changed is equal to a man wanting a man or woman on woman sex. Isn’t sex a preference that you choose to have in the private area of your home?? Get over it all ready you’re gay and who cares let me enjoy my concert without a bunch of gay activist scream nonsense!!

      @Samantha: Get real. Go to Jamaica, say you’re gay and starting kissing someone of the same sex. Then spout your nonsense about how his song doesn’t promote hatred. After you’ve been beaten down.

      And look up what civil rights mean.
