House Rules Language Now Gender-Free

In one of those, "You're telling me they didn't do this already?" moments, the newly assembled House of Representatives are just now getting around to making their rules gender inclusive. Instead of 'Chairman', the rules will now read 'Chair' and references to 'he shall' and 'his' are being replaced. Now all they need to do is apply those same rules to marriage laws. But, you know– hurray for catching up with 1995, Congress.

1995? More like 1975.

…or not. I was born in the 80s, so my memories of 1975 are a little blurry. But still, a step in the correct direction.
