While the putrid gatekeepers of conservatives battling against Iowa’s Supreme Court decision to install marriage equality, and we wait on Gov. Chet Culver to say, well, anything about the matter (though he did find time to work with Democrats to secure a tax plan), Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal has put the kabosh on power opponent Paul McKinley, the minority leader, who wants to take up the matter of a state constitutional amendment to reverse the Supreme Court’s decision. Yesterday, Gronstal told McKinley, and the rest of the State Senate, how it is.

Well holy damn! Go IOWA!

I can’t believe Iowa is ahead of the curve. Jesus!
I think we’re past the tipping point, I really do.

Isn’t it amazing how Iowa can get it right, and California can fuck it up so badly?? Unlike in CA, the mob-mentality voters can’t amend the Iowa Constitution. (And since when should civil rights be decided by the voters?) With the simple, yet strongly worded ANONYMOUS court decision in Iowa, and with men like Gronstal pointing out the very basic human elements of this ‘fight,’ hopefully a few more eyes will be opened. Way to go Iowa!
Brad
@Brad: Sorry… I meant the UNANIMOUS court decision ^^
LOL

Be sure to send Mr. Gronstal a letter or post card thanking him! He is probably going to get enough hate mail from the RR & conservatives. Let him know we appreciate him.
