Eternal teenager Justin Bieber dug into his bottomless pockets this week to do something good for a change, and the Republic is still standing.
TMZ reports that Bieber attended the annual amfAR gala while in Cannes this week, where he “quietly and without fanfare” matched a generous donation of $545,000. The annual event is hosted by one of the most internationally recognized and well-respected AIDS-related organizations in the world raising money for AIDS research — each year, the formal amfAR gala raises millions of dollars through wealthy donors and celebrity endorsements like this.
Not the most generous thing he’s ever done, but it’s still an impressive gesture.
TMZ says Justin “just felt inspired to do something good.” There is still hope, you guys.
