In a 20-14 vote last week, the New Jersey State Senate voted down gay marriage legislation. But yesterday, on the state’s last day of the legislative session, the Senate voted 25-13 to approve use of medical marijuana. The vote came after the State Assembly voted 48-14 to do so. Gov. Jon Corzine says he will sign the bill, and his successor Chris Christie says he also supports it. You know, because something that was so controversial just 10 years ago … now just makes sense.
