Obama Has a Lot on His Plate. Maybe It’s Time to Bite Into That DADT Burger?

If there’s one news personality the president listens to besides that adorable Matt Lauer, it’s Jon Stewart. They have even sat down together before! So with Obama heading to the HRC dinner to chat with the gays on the heels of completing exactly zero assignments on his Fierce Advocate assignment, perhaps it’s not Joe Solmonese who should be bending the president’s ear, but Mr. Stewart.

Stewart has been down this road before. He makes talking about DADT, and its non-repeal, a punchline. And his punchlines are funny! Not funny: The carrying on of Obama and his minions about how he’s just too busy for this right now.

Maybe the White House and Congress will start to take notice now that the Press is actually starting to go after them. However I’m sure Barney Frank’ss staff are desperately trying to get him on the show so he can try to say why in his opinion repealing DADT and DOMA would be BAD for gay people, after all, Barney’s usefulness ends when he can’t be relied upon to keep gays quiet. Keep it up Daily Show!!
