Actor, QI host and Harry Potter audiobook narrator Stephen Fry surprised everyone earlier this month with news of an engagement to boyfriend Elliott Spencer, saying at the time:
“Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I’m very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!”
The two tied the knot last Saturday, and though Stephen wanted a private ceremony, the two have released some photos of their big day.
Say what you will of the 30-year age gap the two share, happiness is happiness. We wish them all the best.

Fry has always maintained a degree of reference to Wilde in his career/persona, so no surprise at the doll. It seems Fry learned from Wilde’s follies, though, at least when it comes to excess/ostentation. I love the humble and sincere atmosphere of the ceremony. Looks like a sound win-win for both boys~~

27 is a grown up- I can’t see what they could possibly have in common, but 27 is grown up, so good luck to them- it’s not like he’s a teenager….scream til you are blue in the face, no one will ever convince me a teenager is a grown up- so over 30- back up and let that child grow up!

As someone who’s been dating someone 25 years younger for almost 4 years, I wish them all the happiness. It’s not all about sex, that wears off pretty fast. I’m sure they wouldn’t have taken this step if it was just physical. Stephen Fry is a brilliant, funny, famous man. They’re both lucky.
