It’s getting to that point in the day when you need a little burst before lunch. While we can’t give you an energizing hug, we’re prepared to offer you this video of the Scissor Sisters’ new single “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’.”

This blog is where I first heard mention of the Scissor Sisters. This is the first time I have heard their music or seen one of their videos. Didn’t this form of music go out in the 80′s? Please tell me that they are big overseas and not here in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

I love how Jake’s lack of dancing talent doesn’t stop him from shakin’ that ass, shakin’ that ass.

The video is almost an homage to Photoshop collages. I do think, however thats its creative enough, each scene seems to be composed as a series of oil paintings that assemble and dissamble themselves. The video is dancy, catchy falsetto fun, like the song. I’ve heard it only once before and that was in Coney Island months ago, and still I could almost sing along this time.

Fun song and video but Jake is so unsexy and rhythmless(is that a word?) that it almost ruins it, almost.

      Stephen,

I must agree, Jake is not sexy, but cute and he has no rhythm. However, the song does allow you to be whichever way you want to be and have fun at the same time no matter how goofy you feel. I don’t think it “almost” ruins it, I think it adds to the fun.
