Swede Politicos Seek Gay Nups

Several Swedish Moderate Party members may rebel against their own party if Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and other prominent Moderates don’t publicly endorse same-sex marriage. While Sweden currently allows civil partnerships, a growing number of politicos and religious leaders have come out to fight the good, gay fight. Writing in Sweden’s Dagens Nyheter, the politicos pledged,

It is important that we, as Moderates and as the largest governing party, show leadership, show what we stand for and start to act in this question.

They went on to say that they’ll chart their own course if Reinfeldt and their political peers don’t pave the way for gender-neutral marriage laws. They’re not fucking around on this one.
